Debt is a real burden when used in an unmanaged way. Whenever debt becomes a burden then it must be dealt with or it begins to manifest ill effects through out your life, via health issues, family problems and considerably more shackles that all bind you down. Debt Negotiation can be an effective tool in How to get debt free.
Debt Negotiation can be interpreted in many different ways but we are not talking about trying to eliminate the actual debt you owe, we are talking about negotiating with the lenders on the interest rates and/or repayment schedule. I want you to understand that you are responsible for your debts and should make all efforts to repay them, but that does not mean that you shouldn’t try to negotiate on the terms. This type of method works best on credit card debt but is not limited to just that kind of debt.
Negotiation starts with your credit card company and your goal should be to reduce your interest rate (APR); if successful then it would be comparable to a balance transfer to another credit card company. You will approach the company and ask them for assistance with your debt by way of a reduction in APR, explain to them that you are trying to clear off your debt. If successful then you would have negotiated your interest rates lower than your current rate thus saving you allot of money and time that would be associated with trying to find the right type of balance transfer. If your credit card debt negotiations work out well, you might be able to get a really low standard APR or you might get a longer term on 0% APR, or both.
On the flip side if your debt negotiation does not work then you are left with finding a credit card company that is offering a desirable APR (0%) and doing a balance transfer or possibly looking for a consolidation loan.
This is a valuable method on How to get Debt Free, don’t be reluctant to try this method, you have everything to gain.
